I finished whipstitching my patchwork scrap afghan. I'm so proud of myself, and I've picked a special recipient for this particular afghan. It's not quite finished yet, but it's looking good. I have to crochet the border and decide whether or not I'm going to add the decorative cross stitching. I may skip it.
Feels good to be crocheting again. It always does though.

Annie,
I just caught this blog from reading your regular blog today. I'm not a regular reader, but often I catch up with what I missed, and it's lovely.
Would it work if Grace and I sat down with you for about an hour crochet session?? We learned to do a chain together, but it's hard to get more advanced learning through a book. I could repay you with babysitting or cookie baking or something else of your choice.
Stephanie -
Sorry I just saw your comment (over a month later)!! Are you thinking of Annie Schap? She also contributes to this blog sometimes, but she mostly does knitting as far as I know.
And I wish I could teach you but I don't live in Lafayette any more.
I think Annie's sister Sarah might do crochet though...
